4 N 17

Second entry for the month of N and the big news, I actually have some FREE TIME !! Not to shock everyone or anyone, I CAN explain & it will all make perfect sense. As usual.

Before retiring yesterday I took a timeout and decided that I was ahead of schedule with the MAST gallery preps for the time so I could step back & relax. I decided a few days ago that today, Saturday 4 N, I would neither participate NOR attend the 17th Holiday boutique at St. Gabriel’s as in the past two (2) years. Reasoning & logic are clear as it was a strictly business decision. I spent $180 for the booth or table and generated $31 sales. I saw no reason to believe that trend would reverse this year.

The people I observed were really not that keen on better quality art but more the artsy-craftsy type items under $20.

And I awoke in the night and told myself same thing. Forget St Gabby’s. Go for a bike ride, I can hit the range at a more leisurely pace, go to Mass and get home and just settle in picking up the Plan for gallery preps, projects, yard & gardens, etcetera.

Major accomplishment yesterday was the repair of the downstairs toilet. No leaks and functioning PERFECTLY. This is huge on a number of levels which I will not go into here or now.

I purchased a mop & a bucket which will speed up considerably the ‘swabbing’ the decks (aka THINK ‘floors’) so I have gained some time there. The Conservatory studio has the major new furniture pieces completed & in place and fine tuning the flora placement off & on to enhance that presentation.

Started a new read and another mistake. From Thomas Jefferson, a ‘little’ book that he took when he traveled and reread ‘Tristram Shandy’. Laurence Sterne from the 18th century. Long, very difficult period reading so far and I am still in the Introduction. The Intro is 46 (lcvi) pages and just as challenging to read. From the Oxford University Press so the package is a very scholarly treatment. In fairness to myself however I am sure the pace will pick up once I settle in with the pace & style.

I THOUGHT YOU SAID NIX TO THE HISTORICAL READING ?

I did say that and I may just set this one aside for a better time. While cleaning & arranging Studio II (dos), I discovered a box of books behind an easy chair and on top was one by Vince Flynn.

SO ? SHOULD I KNOW VINCE FLYNN ?

Well, bouncing correspondences regarding reading with my friend & good neighbor, Holly mentioned Flynn as one of her favs and recommended his work. SO, as you so RUDELY say, I will likely set Sterne’s work aside in favor of the Vince Flynn contemporary action thriller.

OK. Times up & so is the sun.

Should be warm enough to start a longer bike ride with all this ‘free time.’

Then have some breakfast after cleaning up and carry on with the make ready and have things all fall into place according to the Plan.

All well in the cloud.
