Well, for starters, if YOU or my biographer took each entry, compiled it and with only the slightest minor literary license, you would arguably have a best seller on your hands. Being intelligent, realistic and reasonable, this will in all likelihood happen posthumously and I can handle that. As Thomas Jefferson stated repeatedly, with a ‘smooth handle.’

OK, sure some installments would be better and stronger than others. There is plenty of room for the lesser or weaker entries to be edited out and ‘smooth handle’, that’s ok & all good.

SO WHAT’S THE PLAN FOR THANKSGIVING ?

LOL. Tranquil solitude.

I rose early and headed shortly after opening to local K-Roget only to get everything and finding out they were sold out of the K-Roget turkeys. (!)

I had engaged the meat monger and a lengthy intel gathering conversation ensued. Subject turkeys, advertised at $0.47/lb were selling like ‘hot cakes’ and were marked down FURTHER to $0.37/#. (!!)

OK sir but that does me little good if you have none.

Well, the store on Custer might have some he told me. ‘Got your cell phone ?’

‘Call & hit 4 will get you to the Meat department.’

Two clicks short of flabbergasted, someone picked up and they had ‘lots’ left.

I beat feet whipping silver and sure enough, I SAVED $22.62 on the turkey. It seems another store in town (El Rancho) had marked them down to $0.38 and K-Roget went down another $0.01 (penny).

So an 18.27 lb bird is slowly thawing.

I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING SOMEWHERE FOR DINNER ?

I was invited, accepted and then got wind of the guest list.

After much thought, consideration & pondering, I politely & graciously declined. I did this by sending a short, hand-written note to the hostess briefly thanking her for the invitation then expressing regrets exactly why thus eliminating ANY POSSIBILITY of rumor or innuendo leaping in and causing my intentions to be misconstrued.

I got to go. The light is right streaming into painting studio uno making conditions perfect for painting. I lost some precious time yesterday and not again today.
