FINALLY ACHIEVED escape velocity & blasted out of Houston gravitational pull in the ROGUE, a cheap rental with NM tags. After learning the LAN lines were down in Ennis for 2-3 days, the part came in and the scales tipped toward a departure plan. The three (3) day Holiday ‘hi-how-are-you’ & gift exchange turned into a one (1) ONE WEEK extended stay at Paradise South.
The NextGens were a delightful blast and when one ponders & reflects, they or we will NEVER be like this again.
FBNG, now 4 ¾ and blazing with wit, vocabulary and social graces, is simply a delight to be around.
Her brother, GS1, is well on his way to Legend. At 9 months his eye for the ladies and his charm are truly astonishing and he had his gramp 18 shades of envious green. We went out for pizza and from his little high chair, he twists, contorts and finds a gorgeous babe at the next table and he is really turning on the charm with a little peek-a-boo action & the next thing I hear is ‘He’s so cute …’.
Today's image is FBNextGen, her Dad S2 and myself Tuesday night in the hot tub. I get the light is a little bad but her teal single piece bathing suit is set off in a stellar way with the large brimmed, pink floppy hat.
I at first figured wrong and when I quipped why she was wearing the ‘sun’ hat when the sun wasn’t out she pointed out that it was simply to keep her head warm. It was a little chilly so the square got the X. Not much is getting by her.
Now that I look at the image, it seems as tho I need to revisit the manual and read the section on using the flash to take pictures. Again.
The trip home was grueling. Traffic was OK but there was construction twice and the gawkers slowing down to watch a flat tire being repaired is maddening. Watch it on youtube when you get home. I think 3 out of every four idiots are on the road on any given day AND we, in this case I, have to deal with it.
I listened to an audiobook which helped pass the time & keep me calm or a little more calmed down.
Silver is and will be in Ennis for repairs at least until next week mid-to-late. This creates minor inconveniences at this end but also ALLEVIATES other obstacles. I am or will be a shut-in for the coming week so I don’t have to go ANYWHERE or put up with ANYONE. I have the Rogue, a cheap rental with NM tags until tomorrow so will shop for essentials, run errands and turn it in to local Enterprise, the official rental car of the NHL, and get a one-way OR lift (FREE ?) next week when Silver is well.
Happy ending.
Then begin the battle with local Chevy dealership on the DISSATISFACTION survey and raise the floor to the ceiling. TOTALLY unsatisfactory and I WILL BE taking my business elsewhere if this is not softened.
