MMXVIII First
New day, new week, new month and nothing changes on New Years day (You too ?). Still brutally cold; staying warm is cleverly worded into todays Mission Statement and a quick update to start the new year.
Taking a much needed break this day and having a BLAST.
I am tuned in to the Outback Bowl, listening to live stream from the phone, blue-toothing thru wireless speaker, on the ‘wolverine’ network.
Home boys were having a good time until just now when the Gamecocks took the lead for the first time. Now it is wine, whine and MORE WHINING. And YES, I LOVE IT. I even hung out my Carolina Gamecock flag. There are some michigan people across the street so I hope this score holds.
Painting the beach scene commission alternating with three (3) hummingbirds in the earliest carving stages. My market research indicates POTENTIAL customers are out there and I am gambling that they will see the little flying jewels and look past the price and purchase.
‘This is a bitter day for michigan football.’ Hahaha …. Lmao.
Where was I ?
I found some black-eyed peas in the deep freeze and to my surprise had all the ingredients to make corn bread muffins. Will make a dozen splitting plain, blueberry and pepper (jalapeno & the assorted mixto).
That’s it.
This computer is becoming a PIA. The MS word word processing program at times simply does ‘NOT RESPOND’ causing the simplest task to slow to a crawl. Same with the printer now. Very tempermental. I am going to start referring to all & each of these things going forward in the female tense.
I have moved the commission from PS I to PS II. Not so much FOR the light in studio I but the shadows created. All blinds are in the ‘passive solar collection’ mode for probably another hour or so before the sun sets and it gets very cold again.
The black-eyed peas & warm cornbread will be a comfort and start for the new year.
I think I am going to have a nice cold beer to celebrate the Gamecock victory but I am going to hold off another 2:36 to be sure.
Happy New Year Fans.
GAMECOCKS WIN !!
‘That’s all she wrote 26-19 South Carolina.’ The winers whine. I think I’ll let the flag hang out for a couple of days.
Cerveza tiempo … and uno mas por favor.
As Jackie Gleason would say … ‘How SWEET it is.’
Michigan faithful indeed. LOL
