Friday and delivering once again as promised but regretably I expect this report to be a bit short of at least my expectations which by definition should be higher than yours. Last time I made some great teases & campaign-like ‘promises’ and full delivery is unlikely. So if you are looking for an excuse to cut & run, see ya. It's OK.
Another big numerical day which said go with current and in large letters ‘GO’. Recall Br12 & Br18, S1 & your writer a few short years ago in the days of puck. I had not one but TWO (2) dreams this past week about playing. I am thinking there will always be a small space available in my mind where I can gear-up & play.
The bitter cold has returned after a couple of days respite. Estimates for Silver’s therapy are still shocking & being analyzed for best path forward.
I have been exploring & delving deep into & using technology. I got re-interested in Ambrose Bierce thru the Mark Twain PBS video and went so far as to order a book. While doing the deep internet dive, I actually found a FREE, you heard me FREE, on-line ‘book’ of ‘Can Such Things Be ?’ and red a couple of the short stories and they were terrific. I used amazon/AmEx reward/gift card points and I should have the full collection of short stories soon.
While trying to relocate the on-line ‘book’, I got lost or IOW more accurately ‘distracted’ and found myself going up & thru various worm-holes, rabbit holes & following vapor trails. I was able to locate some very early science fiction border-line hilarious. Edison Attacks Mars takes up where HG Wells War of the Worlds left off apparently. A character is President W McKinley. A young (?) Edison is leading the charge against the Martians again apparently.
Today taxes in some small opening gambit, painting on the beach scene nearer to completion and then filter down to secondary activities.
For e-company today an audiobook Pirate Lattitudes.
HEY, ISN’T THAT ONE YOU READ ?
It is. Very good you are paying attention if nothing else.
By Michael Crichton. He can tell a good story and the audiobook is as good as the book. The narrator also lends to the enjoyment.
A change of pace this morning with the hot beverage. The estate blend of mint-jamiaca blossoms-sumac berries with a little lime juice & stevia. I really nailed it. Perfect amounts of each magic ingredient.
Today's image is GS1, NextGen_2.
Photos appeared last night with captions of ‘first spaghetti’. This is about #4 in the rapid-fire sequence and his Gramp replied all CAPS, DON’T EAT THE MEATBALLS THAT FALL DOWN THERE !!
That’s all Folks.
Must move on. Have a great weekend, stay warm and maybe next time YOU will get lucky & have the mystery guest writer.
