26 F MMXVIII
Monday. Got a lot done this day with my first FULL weekday off since separating from the campaign. I don’t mind saying that it feels good. Work & working simply takes way too much free time away from fun things to be worth it.
I have now officially proven that to myself.
So I called Randy kind of early and he was in his shop for about an hour so I beat feet over. He had some wood and I got some red & white oak for the small round basis, some poplar for 16th century ‘canvas’ and a nice piece of mahogany I don’t have a use for yet but I am sure I will find one.
We chatted & gabbed way too long and when I was leaving Randy told be he had some molding in a storage trailer he didn’t know what to do with or have a use for. Turns out the ‘molding’ is actually raw wood used for making picture frames. So I immediately thought of Leon and added his name to my call list.
I called Donnie on the way over and talked to him about cutting me some thick, round bases for the two (2) current sculptures in progress. He had a stunning chunk of Brazilian cherry that he can get three(3) bases from. Working concurrently, both projects should fini at about the same time. Very cool.
That’s about it from here for now.
HEY, WHAT ABOUT THE BLIP ON THE RADAR ? YOU SEEM TO BE AVOIDING THAT TOPIC …
Still no change. Nothing to report. Can’t tell anything.
Do NOT become a PIA.
