Things just seem to be coming out with a counter-revolution spin. Perhaps it is the rain, maybe the lack of sunshine but one thing is for sure. I have some free time today to think it thru. Even the daily chat with Mom did not go well. Best to withdraw, insulate & isolate self to avoid excessive damage.
It MIGHT be going to the hockey game last night. Some of the old boys joined up in a new league formed in Allen. Their first game was last night and my peeps & former mates are ‘Canada’ and they played ‘Russia’. The level of play was low. Very low. And I am thinking these poor souls really & truly have nothing better to do. I doubt any do fb so kudos to them.
Br16 looked stellar and in goal was that ancient Aussie netminder Maurice ‘the cat’ Waters and he pitched the shutout of the Russians who BTW looked punchless without Ovetchkin & Putin. Br66 also looked a step or two on the downgrade and laboring.
SO DO WE HEAR COMEBACK ?

I was approached yes but no. I have an axiom and saw it last night often … ‘You can’t make a good pass to a poor player.’ One of the better players would lead a lesser player with a nice pass & he simply could not get to it to make a play. Kind of sad because everyone has been there. The pass is just out of reach.
Another issue is timing. I cannot just start NOW. Even when I was playing I was working out a lot and skating between games to be at a level where I at least felt mentally able to compete physically.
In the summer I want to be outdoors. Hockey is indoors in the winter. PERIOD.
PLUS, Jenkins didn’t say I COULDN’T play but rather he would ‘prefer I didn’t play.’ I would have to talk to him about a bribe or second opinion but I am not there yet.

Finish the tax ordeal today, domestic abuses continue in the form of cleaning and art projects to build inventory. Also a perfect day to work with the garden & plants outside between the showers.
