4 – 22 = |18|
OK Class. A little crypto with todays date. Let’s see who gets it shall we … Are YOU getting it yet ?
Algebraically, the result of 4 minus 22 is negative 18 and the absolute value (the symbol) makes the whole little equation correct & proper.
Up very early on a Sunday morning and a little ketchup also in order.
Yesterday I was invited and accepted invitation to visit S1 and watch late first round Stanley cup playoff games. Of course I had other plans but a rain storm postponed range time and striking balls to practice and art work but shifting and switching priorities is perfectly acceptable.
While enjoying the Caps v Blue Jax over beers, chips, salsa & guac AND shrimp, there was a break before the next Leafs v Bruins. Severe weather was coming in from the west so I left a little earlier as Volkswagen size hail was being predicted and approaching so I opted to get Silver back to the cloud and in the barn or hanger for her own safety. After all, safety third.
Since it was raining hard, I made a command decision to postpone Mass from Saturday to Sunday morning so now that appointed hour is approaching and kind of rapidly.
While running & touching bases earlier in the day, at the orange box at Va & Custer in McK, is started a chat with Nathan, new sales rep for Diablo tools. Nathan recently graduated from Sam Houston State in Huntsville. I went to this store specifically & strictly because 518 in McK did not have the ¾ (0.75) inch Milwaukee hole saw that I needed for one of my next projects.
I quizzed young Nathan and he GAVE me a bit AND two (2) TWO Diablo ADAPTERS that allows for using the Milwaukee hole saws WITHOUT the center drill. (!!!!!)
Then I complemented him on his cool Diablo shirt and axed him how as a former hd associate I could get a Diablo shirt.
‘You want one?’
‘Sure’ thinking one similar to the nice cool gray collared polo with the striking embroidered red logo shirt Nathan was wearing.
We went to his tool box to get the adapters and he pulled out the shirt.
It was the same shade of gray but sans collar, a tee-shirt with no embroidery but screen printing front and back. Not exactly what I had in mind, expected or now was hoping for. HOWEVER, even though being slightly disappointed I was not about to show Nathan any of it.
‘Cool. Thanks’ and I proceeded to give Nathan some free career advice to which he seemed to pay attention and appreciate. I mean he was only out of school for some months and this was his first job.
So he got a free career consultation in exchange for a tee-shirt and a couple of adapters.
OK. This graduate level class in advanced interpersonal skills and arithmetic is now officially dismissed.
