Hey Fans listen up. It’s a lazy Saturday morning for the moment and I only have 43 minutes this morning so I need to jump on this straight away so no questions por favor. I think I can fill in the blanks & gaps so settle back, settle down or settle in to that vehicle be it a chair, couch or best of all a HAMMOCK.

I don’t believe I mentioned in this vehicle that the City of McK now has received the designation ‘cultural district’.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘CULTURAL DESIGNATION”?

What is it about ‘No Questions, por favor’ that you DON’T GET or can't digest?

The Texas (state) Commission for the Arts has granted this label due to the concentration of galleries, studios, artists, musicians & writers aka ‘creative-types’ located within the city limits. Which means ‘special events’, more $$$ for advertising and publicity help’ for struggling & starving artists which I certainly am NOT however of which I WILL shamelessly take full advantage of to better serve my clients, customers, patrons & patients. For THEIR collective good mind you.

TODAY is the FIRST such ‘event’ which is highlighting musicians this first 2nd Saturday and NEXT month (June) will highlight & feature … ready? … ARTISTS !!

So we get a month to shake down, get baselines etc which is today.

The merchants on the square are ‘IN’ and I have ‘reached out’ to Birds & Words (B&W) and hopefully will be granted permission to set up there for the event.

I mean I HEARD they had like 30 bands lined up or some crazy number. We can set up, tear down ‘whenever we want’ so is this sounding too good to be true to you?

I know I am pinching myself …

My plan/schedule is maybe take a ride downtown early afternoon, perhaps for lunch, scope this out, see if I can ketchup with Colin one of the owners of B&W for final permission and make sure they have no one set up there yet and then go.

Get set up or take a small but wide sampling of work and set up. See what happens.

All that said, my new wood burner (tool) came in yesterday and it is SWEET. My detail burning had backed up and I missed it. Did some feathers this morning and I have that commission Imperial Angelfish to finish up & deliver.

I have a gwt sealed and ready to begin painting downtown which browsers like to see and watch.

Before hand I can also finish 1 or 2 smaller Achilles tangs in addition to the large one so those are stunning.

Water plants out back. I have now officially a surplus of spinach which I need to look up ‘how to freeze’ which is very cool.

I started another science experiment. I took two small identical jars. Peeled & sliced up a carrot placing the slices in the jars and boiled one (1) set briefly before replacing in its jar. To both jars I added dill pickle liquid. I think I shall call them ‘dill carrot chips’ for now but it MAY change.

I need to see which grabs & holds the ‘dill’ better or best. Raw carrots or the slightly softened ‘cooked’ sliced chips.

Just another little experiment some small reason to get one out of bed and up & running in the morning.
