Twenty-fore

Colonial Day I and OFF. After the ‘grueling’ pro-am day, the down day was frankly in a word needed.

SO WHAT DOES ONE THAT DOESN’T WORK AT ALL DO ON A DAY OFF?

Superb question and I will answer.

HOWEVER no forgetting the mission here in FW, I must get to some golf reporting.

First, I had a small, short plan drafted.

I left Paradise aka McK truly with the cloths on my back. It was almost like the place was on fire. I have little cash, no shoes (flip-flops only), naturally undies & socks and of course the ‘work’ cloths but little else so going out is reduced. I also did not bring two (2) critical colors of paint. The yellow base for the Emperor angelfish and black for the black-bellied plover so now both now stalled. Very annoying.

My search for shirts continued. I first went to a costume place here that advertised ‘rental & sales’. I had trouble first locating the place so burned some very expensive fossil fuel but when I did find it, even axing for assistance could not find or they did not have so now 0-2. Hey, I’m used to it.

The next stop however turned into the Home Run.

Pottery Barn did have two (2) new white cast coral pieces and I found one mismarked, A perky young sales associate offered to help and I accepted. I pointed out the two I wanted and got them both. So I picked up a shell bowl and then mentioned I was an artist when things heated up and spiked off the chart.

‘We have artists come in for pop-up shows’ so I gave her my contact information and she said the manager would be in contact. The show arrangement was extremely flexible such as a one-day appearance OR leave some piece there. (!). IN THE POTTERY BARN PEEPS !!

The clientele I observed passing thru were dripping wealth and discretionary income so let’s just wait and see what happens.

I also stopped at The Artful Bead shop and Debra was most helpful. I bought a few small beads but will be making a planned return trip with some beads for the chess set at a later date.

GOLF

The bell rings, the gates open and the horses break out. I will summarize in my own way with either balls (autographed or signed) or ‘friends’ as in the past experience. With commentary when inappropriate.

Kevin Na leads (-8). I KNOW I have one (1) ball & maybe two. The little Korean probably from Cali speaks perfect English and plays pretty well obviously. However watch for his adam’s apple and ego catch up with him as the weekend wears on.

Charley Hoffman one shot back and one & perhaps a second ball. Charley’s performance at recent Masters has sky-rocketed his value.

Tied for third (T3) Emiliano Grillo and J Vegas at (-6) both from South America. I really liked Grillo a couple of years ago and have followed him sort of closely. Gracious & polite, good game and conducted himself well when an unruly gallery member heckled while he was putting.

I could go further down the list but I am once again crunched for time.
