Six Five.1 18
11:59 and a recap of a marvelous day. Lot’s of activity aka progress on multiple fronts, weather issues of little to NO consequence this day and art marketing & strategic planning round things out.
In accordance with the training program, Tuesdays are always an off or rest day so the rain served to cement the ‘indoor’ plan(s) and after some organization and set-up we (I) were not only underway but full speed ahead.
PROJECTS
The red knot saw the first paint and that is always good IOW the easy part. Especially with the red knot. Work will continue however there is a red knot completed and ready to sell so attention, time & talent may be redirected to other more pressing activities & projects. This will be a great project to work on 2nd Sat if/when traffic slows down.
The black-bellied plover (bbp) continued moving to completion with final painting. This is the first and only bbp thus far and has a place on the display base also worked on so the bbp has a higher priority and Vegas has odds this one WILL BE finished for 2nd Saturday.
There is a peppermint angelfish that can, might, should or will end up in the faux-encaustic/shadow box / frame. This one is ‘longer term’ and no-way for 2nd Sat. It will be key to plan and critical strategy for future shows in Sept, Oct and Nov shows for Christmas ordering. However there is something very appealing about the process steps, the intriguing concept and I am having trouble NOT playing with the materials and arrangement in ‘free time’ or otherwise.
PLANNING
Tomorrow, Wednesday, appt at UTD in Richardson for the language memory study. Final visit and payday. As part of the ‘marketing’ plan, I needed some 2nd Sat post cards to distribute as I circle the bases so I ran downtown to get a few more. Got those and stopped in Mck tees for a quote on shirts for MAST as part of the Planning Committee. Productive meeting there.
Made a phone call to Sears in Lewisville re the edger. Agent told me rather than drive to where the earth goes flat, I could go to the Plano store, order on-line there and request ‘warranty exchange’ AND have it SHIPPED to my home. That was a home run of a call.
MEALS & SUS
Sustenance this day was superb.
The third, THIRD (3rd) meal from the Cornish hen is today’s image. AND there is one and MAYBE two (2) more !!
(left to right) The sweet potato medallions are the remaining leftover from the pan-roasted experiment that turned out most definitely repeatable AND a KEEPER. This process is being documented and will be available ($$) shortly when the channels are set up and complete.
The cucumber salad, Family recipe classified BUT available ($$) with yogurt dressing topped with black sesame seeds which are stellar.
Finally extreme right the entrée of game hen, red onion, mushrooms stir-fried with tagliatelle, fresh red chard leaves & stems tossed in late to wilt in olive oil with walnuts garnishing.
White wine and water both at room temperature.
Immediately afterwards into the spa to relax and begin the next round of plans. No cramps, no drowning so that myth is debunked. Safety once again THIRD.
Good night Irene wherever you are.
HEY, WHAT ABOUT THE WHITE PAPER ON INSECT BITES AND HOWS YOUR MOM ?
Nancy, I KNOW and I am crushed by time. I can’t even MENTION D-Day anniversary as I MUST remember to hang out the American Flag this day in honor of that great historic occasion.
Again, tootles Irene.
