Independence Day

June 34 or Jy4 it matters not for it will always be Independence Day in the US. IN FACT, by Proclamation the observance will begin on Ju32 and conclude midnight tonight.

BUT WHY ?

WE THOUGHT YOU WERE TAKING TIME OFF FOR THE HOLIDAYS?

You sound like a therapist or perhaps you are writing a book?

I got fired up or in therapist speak ‘motivated or moved’ to write and correct a minor and insignificant but annoying error. You see I received one of those mindless emails forwarded by well-intended people that was slightly off the mark and frankly it simply IRRITATED me. Immensely.

This particular email was in gratitude and appreciative for VETERANS and the many and multitudinous sacrifices made by that collective group, with graphics, over history. No problem with that AND total agreement AND in FULL APPRECIATION for the freedoms and liberties that everyone enjoys today in this country.

SO WHAT’S WRONG THEN?

Veteran’s have a day. Look ahead to November OR

This Holiday, Federal, celebrates and observes America’s ANNIVERSARY of Independence from England in 1776. Nothing more OR LESS.

This was a HUGE accomplishment and as with many things historical glossed over and missed by both students and teachers of History. There were actually PEOPLE, the best & brightest in the young nation and they came together without cell phones and the evening news and ratified the Declaration of Independence. And that wasn’t all they did.

At risk to life & limb these TRUE Patriots drafted documents on PRINCIPLES gleaned from Greek, Roman and brilliant philosophers from the Enlightenment and Renaissance to arrive at documents they all agreed on and signed.

Now fast-forward and look what we have evolved to. Presidents like W Jefferson Clinton, B Hussein Soetero, The Bush Whackers.

It is sad.

I will prefer and celebrate in peaceful tranquility and solitude knowing I am right.

Training today is a ‘HARD’ ride, 15m which is 24 k and weather conditions this morning this COULD be LESS than one (1) hour. Sunny, cool of the day and no wind right now. Must get after it.

WAIT, DON’T TAKE OFF YET ... POR FAVOR …

NEVERMIND.

Looks like I WILL HAVE TO eat something sooner or later.

I have left over lobster, cabbage & tabouli salads and fresh herbal sun tea. Way too much good things to eat. No wonder the weight isn’t dropping off.

I painted on the gwt yesterday and the red knot. I can report progress was STUNNING even for me as an artist. Excited about working on both and MORE ALL DAY today.

Projects galore, NO bitching, complaining, pissing & moaning about ANYTHING.

The water in the cement pond is cooler, cerveza colder and the dnd sign is prominently posted.

Independence day and I fully intend to exercise true independence this day.

Tomorrow WILL BE an OFF day.
