Really far behind so this is a recap and forward-looking report for a couple days PLUS the upcoming ‘Couple days off’ which working stiffers refer to as ‘weekend.’ To us pensionseers, slackers, artists & retirees, it is just ordinary time.
Received overnight a message from Oz. Yep. Emma checked in and she reports all kinds of news. If you’re new to the broadcast-blog, Emma used to live in Lubbock and moved Down Unda to the land of shocks & crocs.
She reports they are mid-winter and cannot burn enough wood to keep warm and using space heaters. She will be travelling there to a wedding and I cannot get into too many personal details about my long-time pen pal.

Well, I’m pretty certain the program has been discontinued by government ‘progress’ now kind of like the Peace Corp a victim of insane budget cuts. Oxymoron … government making progress. Thanks for axing FB.
Back when writing was actually ENCOURAGED in what today are called ‘schools’, students of that age, OUR age, actually WROTE letters and notes to long-distance friends and relied on the US mail to deliver.
It sort of gave the USPS a real ‘purpose’ as it has now largely deteriorated to delivering junk mail and advertisements for things few people really need.
But I am clearly digressing.

The 13th on the calendar according to Bill has the 13th day of every month OFF as a holiday strictly as a ‘safety’ measure for the other helpless, hopeless hordes and souls wandering around reaching, grasping and groping for God only knows what.

Doing artistic projects like crazy as deadlines for shows are now getting too close for comfort. I have been working with a photographer making images to submit for the juried show in Houston in September and I will also use some of the same professional images on the MAST website which will be posted and available on the world wide web for the universe to view.
I KNOW aliens and locals alike are most anxiously awaiting that event.
An OFF training day and yes Emma, the strawberry scab is drying up & shrinking as they have historically. Loads of fun to reach down there and help it flake off.
If it were only that easy to get Undesirables to flake off.
I guess that’s about it for now.
I would like to go on longer but other things are beckoning.

I DO SEEM to be on a wicked good roll if I must say.
I picked blueberries AND peaches this week. Those WILL NOT last forever and I have an order for the blueberry conserve. Seems Bill’s blueberry-lime-almond conserve has actually OVER-taken the blueberry-lime-coconut in sales in some regions so more of that concoction.
Peach conserve also with cranberry & coconut and of course ‘adult’ versions with some ‘spirits’ which in Bill’s case is Maker’s Mark.
OK. See where I am headed ?
