Eight for 18

Buetween the Senators & Coyotes, signing depended on number(s) available. Eight (ate) was taken and 18 was available along with 24 as a second choice but I jumped all over 18 and since that point in time, 18 was THEE number.

Well that’s slightly abbreviated.

Jesus Nancy you always seem to catch me with my pants down. I don’t have time for the dollar story but truncated surely for a Saturday afternoon where splash time is begging AS WELL AS a full beer locker, … I WILL DO my BEST.

Yaz (Carl) was and still is my HERO as a ball player and a person. One long career, spectacular career, one team, did not win a championship but he didn’t complain publically, none of this ‘taking a knee’ prima donna BULLSHIT.

Yaz was and still is the consummate professional. And this was in the pre-PED era. Just google & look at pictures of great players from that era. Yaz, Rocky Colavito is another. I think I am going to take some time out and do an ‘All-Bill’ team like there is an ‘all-madden’ team.

Yaz, Rocky C, Ray Fosse, George Brett OR Brooks Robinson at third base. You get eth idea.

Going to Team Hanson aka the Chiefs, I requested 18 but this time it was taken. Todd was a whiney baby, a dweeb & a twit so I went back to #8 until Todd ‘retired’. He sucked anyway and really wasn’t missed. Besides, I brought S1 to become Br 12 and when I went back to 18, numbers went off the charts and career years followed.

Anyway, today is a Saturday, I am into & out of the cement pond until 4:00 for cleanups 5:00 Mass.

S2 had to cancel apologetically for the weekend here at the cloud but it was ALL OK. His Dad pulled a trump card and went down there for a last minute unscheduled visit and I told him it was fine.

But now I have close to 3 (THREE) cases of very nice cold beer in the ice box and need to run an ad to help dispose of.

So going in again to chill, then paint some and project work galore.

Today I have already gotten in a 40k (25m) training ride in. Damn close to 1.5 hours which keeps improving. Traffic was light and winds were not strong and favorable for that length of time. I had a lot of jump.

I made an adventure down to the McK Farmers Market which COULD BE a whole other entry and got five (5) huge, perfectly ripe beefsteak tomatoes. I felt and still feel the time is right for some panzanella.

I got some day old bread from K-roget so looking forward to THAT for supper after Mass.

Been receiving sporadic reports from the FB Expeditionary force from NY vacationing in Happy Valley.

They are all staying busy having fun and I am sure Great Grandma is ‘bushed’ and now counting the days until they get back on the airplane.
