Bare numbers illustrate the pattern for this day and they are all good. An OFF day so NO RIDING today and more on that to follow but must, MUST make some hay as the Farmers say when those opportunities present themselves.

AGAIN this morning I am perched above the cement pond in the comfy chair looking away out of the window sipping the hot mix of Lavazzo & yerba matte. I opened the window and this day, at this hour it is quiet.

The occasional working stiff scoots off to work and this time, in the far distance, a siren. Some poor soul’s life has taken a turn for the worse.

Happy Birthday greetings go out to my sister. While scanning the ‘headlines’, one media bottom-feeder shouted ‘41 years ago today Elvis died.‘ But I knew that as that is how I remember my sister’s birthday.

I sent a card I found hilarious she will without question find offensive. I stuck a crisp buck in there to soften the blow. So I texted her on the Family distribution list earlier and she was up awaiting coffee & breakfast in bed. She married such a tool.

I texted I was ‘waiting’ for coffee in bed to be delivered as well but I expect to wait a very long time and instead opted for pickup.

Yesterday was the first day of school for FBnextgen. Lots of cute photos and of course stories.

Kindergarten boys tossing lunch boxes at one another’s head. Little things like that.

I rang her up yesterday after school before bed time and axed her if she was going back tomorrow.

She said emphatically without reservation like I was being silly 'yes.' I told her I lost that bet.

Yesterdays ride was 121k (75) a long, brutal beat down with the wind at times gusting to 30-40 mph.

Certain legs of the circuit were very long as a result. I did finish and took three (3) timed & planned rest stops. I vanquished the idea of not stopping for the entire ride as totally insane.

There are only two, TWO (2) more training rides until the hh100 is here. That’s ride. The Wicked Strong team is set to head to Wichita Falls with only the smallest two POTENTIAL riders questionable. Options are a trailer pulled by their Dad OR dropped off and stay with a grandmother.

One is too large now for a seat behind Mom and the other very likely would NOT sit in such seat and be still enough for Lance Armstrong to ride.

I was pretty much whipped for the rest of the yesterday so I went out for supper to my favorite Mexican place after Mass.

Feast of the Assumption which incidentally WILL make the new calendar. Sharing the box MAY BE the Ides of Agusto or perhaps a ‘two week’ notice to the end of summer. Think reverse ground hog day. The End is coming ...

I began The Heist by Daniel Silva. Still early but selecting books by good writers is a smart investment in ones time.

OK. Coffee needs refilling and I have a STRONG FEELING staff will not be BRINGING second cup and pick up is in order.

The sun is rising, starting to warm after the passing front of coolness & rain so life goes on.

O, nearly slipped my mind. Emma checked in. No need to worry as she has been gallivanting thru and around Oz on an extremely busy social crusade as well as to escape the lingering winter rains & chills in her and Sir Ron’s little corner Down Unda. She reports the ‘best zoo ever’ built and established by the late, great Crocodile hunter himself Steve Irwin. All stars rating for condition, presentation and collection of animals. Must get to Oz one day but right now I don’t see how the financial stars could possibly align.

Unless I get invited to an art show and exhibit, all expenses paid …

I better not spill or splash anything in this next cup.

Today’s image of ‘Firsts’ to go along with ‘First day of school’.

Someone got their first haircut. I think now he could certainly pass for three (3). Report was a fairly benign experience and well-behaved which I found MUCH harder to believe.

Must cut and end here and plan the attack so I can then attack said Plan.

Get something done at your end today por favor.

Accomplish SOMETHING of note this day.
