9 – 5, Pt dos

I am thinking this would be a great title for a book or a movie. Standard working day hours for the walking dead working stiffs.

NICE TRY BUT ITS BEEN TAKEN.

Thanks and there is nothing like beginning the day with a set-back. I NEEDED that!

However enough cannot be said for resiliency and bouncing back.

This is the second attempt at a report this day. The Plan was washed out shortly after (breakfast or noon) and before 1:00 pm. The weather was cloudy from the start and right after I gassed up the mower and was pulling some weeds along edges, the mist became a light sprinkle and now full blown shower.

So I went immediately inside, to tooling the Plan.

Last night I attended another committee meeting to support the McK art community show in November. The first attempt at an entry was highly critical, a brutal and scathing venting written with a great deal of emotion which is probably better left unsent or even deleted.

Oblivion, the new read, is warming up at p100. Oblivion is a novel and the main character is a private investigator that has an aneurysm early in a case and has severe memory and motor skill issues after emergency surgery and reconstructing the events of his recent near-term life. The writer does a very good job telling the story from inside and outside the main character events up to this stage. Easy to put down and pick up.

At this time I am listening to the end of the Blade Runner audio book.

CORRECTION: In a previous report, I believe I mentioned this was the 40th anniversary ‘special edition’. This was done in haste from memory. Well, I checked and it is the 25th anniversary so THAT error IS CORRECTED.

The book (version) is 1000x better than the movie. The special effect/ Harrison Ford vehicle nothing like the book here which is much, much better and should be more widely acclaimed. It is so different that it is ALMOST unrecognizable. So much so that I ALMOST was to watch the movie again but probably won't.

I guess that’s it. I MAY have to run to the orange box for some plastic wood filler to set eyes in four (4) tropical fish. Making great efforts to use this discovered ‘bonus’ time to advantage. Get the eyes in and drying and can then finish the touch-ups around the mouth and fins and then burn the last of the scales and I can seal (prime) overnight and MAYBE be painting them tomorrow. Spotfin butterfly fish are fairly easy to paint. Maybe I can paint them of what I don’t get done finish Saturday at the show.

There is supper to prepare. I think salad tonight. Tomatoes and cucumbers will spoil if not consumed here fairly soon.

Well now the afternoon is wearing on and I am wearing out.

The last BR cd is ready to play and if I must go to the HD for filler, I want to do that before school let’s out.

Bill out as rain drops are ALMOST falling on my head.

As the great J Cash once said so eloquently, I’m moving on …
