Twenty-three Oh 18
I just read a couple of quick headlines that are SO preposterous, so conniving, marginally insane and to me seeming to play people, mostly potential readers or otherwise as both morons and idiots. But we KNOW THAT. In most cases they are.
DEPENDS WHO YOU REFER TO AS ‘THEY’ ARE?
I simply do NOT KNOW where I would be w/o you Gracie from Memphis.
You know after some visits here of Andrew Keen and his slant on the internet, social media etc. I echo nearly all of those sentiments and report and chide others on there (and their) short-falls from time to time.
JUST GET ON WITH IT ALREADY SHALL WE?
Gracie from London, cheers to you as well.
Awright then.
The first one and I may not recall the second OR perhaps I will run out of time …
AHEM ! POR FAVOR !!
First as an ad/headline ‘Red Wine May Help (or be Good for) you Teeth.’ This caught my attention because I was interested and this bold statement is CONTRARY to when I personally know. Red wine stains teeth horribly and if that happens, cavities are not the extend of you problems.
Everyone knows. ALMOST everyone knows, read OR has heard of the health benefits of the compounds in red wine found primarily in the skins, polyphenols and resisterol, how they benefit heart health.
And with some moderation this could be true.
I doubt however the such connoisseurs on skid row are too concerned about their cardiac functionality and overall well being. If such were the case, said winos should be a picture of health.
This propaganda laced ad dragged one down a path to other articles on oral health, advances in modern dentistry which I could barely peruse the headline. And no Gracie I did not bookmark or ‘fav’ this ad nor make note of any of the websites for future reading. This is just another ploy to get, grab and hold ones attention so as to expose them to MORE ADS.
SERIOUSLY ?
Indeed and I could not be more seriouser. There was another whacked out headline about ‘Therapy dogs easing the anxiety ... of patients’ in the chair. The dentist’s NOT the ELECTRIC chair.
‘THERAPY DOGS !!’
HEY, they carry toxoplasma gondi parasite !!
This is how insane things are getting. So in this case the 'dog' is the surrogate for a male companion aka a 'relationship'. GREAT job doctor. KNOT.
This lady-friend, no that’s NOT 100% correct. A female ACQUAINTANCE while I was at home depot, tried to set me up with a friend of hers. The background I was give was 90% bull sh** but the closer/kicker was she was lonely being a sudden widow and her doctor suggested or perhaps described she get a DOG to fill that relationship void.
Well I’m thinking that’s a fine act. Now she is attached to the dog, the dog gets all her love and she remains off the street. She is effectively taken out of the pool. By her doctor and a dog.
Not so much my lose for she was immediately outside of my age range. Couple that with following THAT doctors awful advice, keeping a distance from home depot and such friends trying to set up. I think ‘set up’ is a contextual thing that can go either way.
OK. Up early, had breakfast and as soon as businesses open another full day.
Yesterday I struck out finding the wire mesh at Lowe’s. However the associate searched and said Wal-mart carried such 1.5 x 1.5 x 24i n black plastic coated fencing material. In 100 FOOT rolls. I need 18 ft (min) but could find uses for about 25’. So I hit on another plan. No more than that a STROKE of brilliance.
(YAWN) … PRAY TELL
First thing today check ReStore. The Habitat for Humanity store here in town on the other side of the tracks. If they have less, buy it. If they DO NOT have any or the surplus, THEN go to Walmart, buy 100’ roll use what I need and then DONATE the remainder back to H4H and ReStore. Adhering to policy and protocols, helping out my fellow man …
This at 9:00 am and shortly after.
Finish the display frames.
Stop at the market for Brussels sprouts and items to make for potluck to night at Saint Michaels.
World Series kicks off tonight with game one. Go Sox. Duck the fodgers.
Missing g#1 will not cause the earth to crash.
OK. Wrapping up.
Must post and move along. Fun day, get some practice in sometime if it doesn’t rain. Weather report says 22 today and partly sunny. Was planning a nice 2 hour ride but time MAY run out on me.
Sunday I did just get 30 miles (48.29 k acually) in in the two (2) hours. That’s a 15 mph clip after a layoff which is good. Very good I am thinking. Keep inching that envelope up.
Looking for a couple of days off now unless the weather turns and remains south.
The shows and tours are demanding more time for preps and plans and the Colonial outing requires some work on my game. And my team is in the World Series on top of all that.
Full speed ahead.
