March First
Three-three nineteen (3-3-19) THREE (3) Prime numbers so numerically significant date PLUS it has been a while and much water has passed under the bridge.
As I pound away at this small keyboard in the sanctity of my dark office/study/library the rain patters on the window and for about a short minute small hailstones also broke the tranquility.
It is Sunday and since I was unable to attend Saturday Mass I am waiting as the heat is cycles to warm casillo grande.
WHY ? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GREAT ACCLIMATOR?
He’s still here just being realistic, watching numbers and data points trying NOT to live too close to the edge of homelessness. We are all creatures of comfort you understand and exiting a hot shower into a child room(s) is a recipe for illness.
Now some distant thunder rumbles.
So up early for the first Mass is not a bad thing.
Last night Kjell and I attended An Iliad production at the Undermain theater. It was a great evening out as is becoming the norm.
TELL US ALL ABOUT IT, POR FAVOR.
I simply cannot in fairness.
How about the highest of lights?
WE WILL SETTLE FOR THAT.
Timing was/is critical for the Undermain with regard to tickets so apparently I got that point to Kjell and she was waiting when I found her casa not thanks to the maps and geolocating apps on the smart phone. First time you know.
The plan was to get downtown in time for a small bite rather something to eat which we accomplished. There was a place three blocks from the theater All Good café which was recommended by the gal at the box office. The short walk was brisk and it was still very chilly. The mist hung as humidity which seem to drift and not actually fall at a rate of approximately one (1) cm/sec.
The joint was visual overload with hundreds of little origami birds of every color suspended from the ceiling. The seats however were most uncomfortable. Afterwards Kjell said she felt ‘too high’ up and
I was low or sunken and the seat was uneven at best.
Anyway, the special grilled cheese with the hatch chili’s with hot tea was just about perfect in every way. Walking back to the theater the mist stabilized, it SEEMED warmer and the walk shorter. A normal more comfortable conversation followed.
We had nice seats towards stage left however we were moved more towards back center just before curtain time. I felt bad for Kjell as he seat was partially behind a large pillar. To show her character, she refused to change seats AND did not complain.
The play was difficult to assess. Much respect for the actors just memorizing all the lines. We agreed that it was difficult to follow the names. Who was killing who and some of the finer minutia but it finally ended. We also agreed that we both were about ‘played out’ when the lights came on.
Consensus was it was worth the price of admission and we had a good time. On the trip home we laughed and made remarks and comments about different highlights. The music was noteworthy and
FAST FORWARD
I drove out to Grapevine again this weekend this time for a woodcarving show. Compared to years past, the quantity and quality of artists and work is dropping off. Older carvers are getting older and I really don’t care to go again. I got dragged down and drained and headed for home soon enough.
I did buy 5 mm yellow glass eyes however I left still in need of the ¾ in hole plugs. I did thru effective networking (101) a place to stop on the way home and DID buy enough to fill the holes on the table project.
FAST FORWARD II
Late now and fading fast.
Kjell called and very nice to have that sympathetic ear to speak with. We will part for the week to
different worlds and perhaps connect Mittwoch and for the next weekend.
Good night cruel world.
