Fat Tuesday

Again three (3) prime numbers so another numerically significant day. However the religious overtones trumps the numbers in this case. Today.

Today's image is the large table project completed yesterday and delivered today. It was an interesting and fun project. The customers, there were actually two (2), both liked it and were impressed. Robin, who actually made the order, purchased and paid for the table, materials and delivery, was extremely pleased and grateful. Michelle, who will use the table to complete work for Robin at her home workspace, was also thrilled, happy and pleased with the table.

This is rewarding and gratifying as an artist to have one’s work so appreciated and before receiving payment.

Being Fat Tuesday so today is the LAST chance to celebrate before Ash Wednesday and then Easter. Enjoying IMMENSELY a cocktail of coconut rum, Bill’s 2019 pineapple juice with lime and mint.

Not a bad concoction if I must say so. In fact, I used the last of the ice makers ice piling it in a pint glass. VERY nice. Then it quit again. Now it doesn’t matter for 40 days. The joke is on the ice-maker demon.

From the sports world, this little article PROVES once again that ‘losing it’ does come back as karma (FKA ‘spades’ but we can’t say that anymore) and see how such juvenile behavior rains on the Toffoli Parade.

The Kings forward could not control (check) his emotions and after the stress fracture of his twig, had the stick later break when he needed it so ha ha ha. I never did THAT.

I finally finished the latest read.

SO WHAT WAS THE TITLE?

I didn’t?

Ok.

Telling Our Way to the Sea by Aaron Hirsch. It started as a slog, got good and than better.

Exceptionally well written but a very cerebral read. Kind of like a college text book but written in an entertaining and informative way.

Towards the end I got to thinking that books are very much like a bottle of wine. Any wine. If it good enough to make, then bottle and sell, it is probably good enough to drink. There are of course exceptions but generally speaking if a writer has captured concepts, ideas, thoughts or theories and it passes thru a series of musters by editors and such publishers staff, it should be decent and worth the read. As I mentioned, this was a good book but certainly not a 'recommend' for every reader.

EXPLAIN POR FAVOR.

I don’t have time but for you, what the hey …

The reader SHOULD have a working knowledge of ecology and or a higher than ‘normal’ interest in marine science or biology. Even developmental and evolutionary biology some familiarity would be ‘helpful’ but not necessary if the reader can quickly grasp the Latin and scientific names and the genetic discussions that pop up throughout.

You MUST stop or at least I did to look up 'big' or unfamiliar words. It makes a HUGE difference.

Must dash Fans. Things are slipping behind with multiple shows RAPIDLY APPROACHING and inventory NOT getting done.

How about worked on?
