Today I am working at the new gig in historic downtown McK, CULTURAL district, LAST (Louisiana Street) Gallery. Under new management or leadership it has become an artist ‘co-op’.

WHAT’S THAT MEAN?

It means that yours truly MUST work for two (2 … as in DOS) days per month to remain in good standing which of course I do for the three (3) month trial period I signed up for anyway. Kind of reminds me of the days at the orange box where people come in off the street, mostly browsers, chit-chat amongst themselves or one of the ‘workers’ which are ‘artists’.

Generally a better clientele so far anyway which I guess is to be expected. HD was close to THEE worst as some wanders only came in to use the banos.

Slow periods allow for personal things such as blog entries, snacking or admin work. I did bring along a project which I THINK I will be able to work on.

I did get a training ride in this morning. After the 24K (15M) ride, I heated the spa for aches and pains. The ride was crisp, cool and no wind. The safety slows and stops are getting EXTREMELY ANNOYING. However there really is no option or recourse.

I mean WHY pray to Saint Christopher if safety isn’t second, third or fourth in my case?

Thinking the time(s) are good with the slows and stops, the ride times become better like good to great.

So, all good.

Emma checked in, she is once more on the move. She missed my birthday by a (one/1) day. Sweetie, it is NOT Juneteenth but the day before. I MUST look up that event again. I am thinking it was the Texas equivalent of the Emancipation Proclamation but more low-key.

OK.

I needs to scoot.

Another large day tomorrow. The next GDR for training is 97K (60M) Saturday which has a forecast for rain so pulling into Friday is a possibility AND probability.

My ‘saddle muscles’ are NOT EXACTLY enthused about that distance the next day so we will see who wins that battle.
