Labor day, 2019
Second day, second entry and we shall see if this writing and posting unfolds smoothly and without a hitch. Here of late connectivity has been spotty no pun intended as use of the ‘smart phone’ as a hot spot to connect has been anywhere between hit-or-miss to unsteady and unreliable. Temperamental would also fit.
From the test kitchen at the cloud, a newly developed product has the moths abuzz.
PRAY TELL POR FAVOR.
Well, I was experimenting with the herbal sun tea estate blend and took it a step further.
Using the same ingredients, I place approximately the same proportions into the coffee maker basket. The first attempt was for six cups of water and also I change the ‘BREW OPTION’ to ‘BOLD’ so to maximize the exposure and it worked. And very well as a nice cup of HOT herbal tea was enjoyed instead of the coffee.
Then a follow up discovery.
When the brew cycle stopped, of course the machine doesn’t know any better and there was no problem keeping the vessel hot for subsequent cups of tea however when it shut off and cooled down, what was remaining could be poured over ice with a touch of lime and sweetener and thoroughly enjoyed as ICED tea.
THEN, if only one (1) cup of hot is needed, turn the machine off immediately and let it cool saving more energy.
Anything remaining goes into a carafe after cool down and into the refrig for later.
AREN’T YOU CLEVER.
No. I think ‘BRILLAINT’ is a better descriptor.
With the ice machine and her anti-depressant relationship sorted out, things are groovy.
On top of all this, I discovered thru diligent research an article from Food Journal written by some Canadian graduate students that CONFIRMED the sumac berries (Rhus typhina aka staghorn) are crazy loaded with anti-oxidants. So there. Once again Bill leading the pack with cutting edge trends.
NIX slightly ahead way & WELL ahead of his time.
That’s going about do it as the train from Procrastination station is loaded and ready to departs.
It IS Labor day and that means work for your correspondent. No rest for the wicked.
I am planning a couple days off to acclimate to things new and save up for some good material.
Son One (S1) pulled in his Labor day/Holiday pilgrimage to Dad yesterday and we had a productive session judging from the empty beer cans this morning. The water in the cement pond is most def cooling and had a chilly bite but once in and acclimated, with the system fortified with beer and the warm setting sun it was all most pleasant.
We had the Ranger game on the portable radio and cooked hot dogs and with sauerkraut and beans had a marvy time.
HOT DOGS? YOU THE HEALTH NUT??
Listen, this is the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave and if a law-biding, tax-paying citizen can’t indulge themselves and seek a cheap thrill in their own back yard, something is wrong.
Just remain in your gulag and eat plastic.
