Up early and currently in the dead hour of the day. Dark, quiet and deathly still. The window can be opened as overnight temperatures are now in the comfort range. Circulating fans off and silent and I swear the loudest thing is the ringing in the ears.

It’s now this time of year when the electricity is off and no longer ‘free’ according to The Plan (TXU) and it is very dark so in order to do anything that requires artificial light IE ‘light bulbs’ is off limits.
KIND OF PRIMITIVE DON’T YOU THINK?
To a certain extent perhaps but good lessons in self-discipline, following rules and observing and working towards ‘structure’. Like living within a budget.
So yes, to answer your question succinctly, yes. It is a bit back-dated.
During the early morning hours when the electric was ‘free’ I read a bit. Very difficult to read in the dark.

WHAT’S THE READ?
Last week in APL after the Mayan dance program I walked by the book kiosk where they (APL) sells the withdrawn books and noticed an Alexander Kent book. I mean one I hadn’t read and the soft cover still shining. For $2 US. A ‘donation’.
After 8:00 I watched a couple episodes of Father Brown mysteries. In series (season) II now and while doing this I was gluing corks into corkboards that I cut out and put together yesterday afternoon. There are three (3) larger ones to replace inventory from Houston and compensate a gracious cork supplier back east JW.
I also completed two (2) smaller ‘coasters’ size version if you will as a ‘new product' offering. I call it a 4x (four by) and don’t ask why.
WHY?
I like the name. It has eight (8) corks in a simple pattern in about a 3-4 inch weathered wood frame.
PERHAPS THE FRAME SIZE IS 4 X 4? MAYBE ??

S1 checked in last night and looks like we are headed to the Stars season home opener. Br12 informed Yours truly last evening via text messaging service.
FB and her crew were considering moving upstairs in the Mansion at Paradise South as some hurricane is pounding Houston with rain.
Richard stopped over yesterday and we did a small furniture moving job at the Cotton Mill soon to be a fixture and destination here in McK. An ‘off-the-square’ destination location showing HUGE potential. A very cool place being restored for hipness factors.
What else?
It’s Friday. The weekend is here with no formal major event(s) or plans. Beautiful.
The Great State fair of Texas will be opening next week with the first senior free day the following week. MY PLAN is ALL THREE (3) free Thursdays this year. That will be the plan at least and until it gets old and NOT fun.
I did about ten (10) minutes of domestic torture yesterday. I didn’t accomplish much but today I am going to STRIVE for 15 minutes before and hopefully NOT be overcome by the shakes (think DTs).
