Monday, Monday. Well the show is over. The studio tour anyway and things can return to ‘normal’ here at the cloud, on the hill.

Inquiring minds want to know how the tour went and I figured BEFORE Ms Bold Caps could show up I would address that issue and most current event.

The 2019 McK Art Studio Tour and extravaganza was a unqualified bust. Or, perhaps it WAS a qualified fail OR COULD BE qualified as such in some manner.(?)

I had a record number of ‘visitors’ and as the flax spun and shot thru the ether and EVERYONE was saying, ‘lots of visitors, NO SHOPPERS’.

With the work and effort spent cleaning 'utter torture' and menu preparation(s), the net is marginal and frankly falls negative.

So I must spin positive threads, cover the mistakes and short comings and reach for my imaginary anti-depressant to mask the heartbreak, grief and guilt.

KNOT !! As the Unnamed Artist told me at the 2019 Woodland Waterway Festival, ‘reduce (the number of) shows to only the ‘good ones’’. Guess which one is going to drop?

Correct.

As of this moment in time, 2020 MAST is HIGHLY UNLIKELY. A number of reason come into play.

I SUPPOSE WE WILL HAVE TO HEAR THEM … ?

Yep. A few anyway as I DO have a healthy list to attack now that the Big (gas) Bubble has passed.

The organization has become a ‘community’ which is a soft term for ‘clique’ or click depending on where you are from. Consistent with my dna, I will not fall into line, blindly follow or ‘join’ all of which lead to ‘stalk’ as in ‘stalking the leader.’ I view ‘current leadership’ using bullying tactics on more than one occasion and not just me. Were she a guy, I certainly would have engaged in perhaps administered some playground tactics but it is much easier just to move on. And that said, think Jim Jones, Jonestown and drinking the cool-aid.

In my opinion, THAT is metaphorically about to happen if it hasn’t already and that’s enough to realize and understand my 2-3 good or best show choices will be in Houston or better The Woodlands.

Much better organized, better venue, I can visit Family IE grandies AND they can ALL PLAY IOW 'assist or help', more ‘visitors ARE shoppers’ AND artists are treated closer to Royalty. But DON’T THINK that William, Harry, Kate or Sparkle Markle. Other royalty.

The Weather … cloudy and as warm as it is going to get. By sunset this day outside we should find zero. This means extra work prepping some sensitive food crops to avoid possible frost damage.

And that’s only the beginning.

So don’t worry. I’ve got a Plan and am executing.

I could go on but must cut before the casa chills. As a teaser, I stopped at one of the tanks, think pond or as in small lakes here in the general vicinity Sunday morning after Mass and with my new binoculars scanned the waters. Nothing with the naked eye but a pair of mallards and then a little sparkling bufflehead.
