A rare Sunday evening entry but a full report as it was another very busy day. Rising early to structure a list to optimize the day, it grew rather lengthy quickly as you will see.
The usual laundry, the plants got watered and some tidying up before heading the Allen and the ice rink for a skate with S1. I got there early and he was late.
HOW DID IT GO? IS THE COMEBACK STILL ON TRACK??
I wish I could answer in the affirmative but no. I skated ok but was trying to do transitions front to back and fell a few times. A NUMBER of times actually once producing a sharp stabbing pain in my back that I felt briefly. It passed quickly but it did serve as a little wake-up call. I have been exercising so things there are fairly strong but that is exactly how it will happen. An awkward fall, a extending twist and some serious damage results.
But one CANNOT think that way.
It was such a gorgeous day that I immediately set out for a ride upon returing home. Got the hour (1) ride in quickly finishing three (3) laps in 50 minutes. I can credit the fast time on fully inflated tires and jump in the legs from the skate.
I fired up the spa and when it warmed up it was simply divine. I dozed off three (3) times waking up just before I drowned in the 30 minute times session. Which went longer like until dusk.
From there I migrated to the garage studio and began wrestling once again with the panels and the deep frames. The problem persists getting the 45° corner cuts to line up properly. HOWEVER, the smallest ‘test panel’ I discovered taken to the new belt/disk sander responded splendidly and shaped up very nicely. So much so that I am laying out the painting of the first prototype tonight which is a huge step. Tomorrow right behind is a larger rectangular paneled frame that will be a second prototype and For Sale immediately and/or submitting to the jury for the 2021 WWAF.
WOW!!
Yes. So you see why it is huge.
YES INDEED. I THOUGHT YOU WERE JUST BLOWING SMOKE.
Did anyone ever SUGGEST that you have a 'Learning Disability'?
The schedule tongiht is one (1) episode of series 6 of Endeavour before slipping under the clean sheets early for that most hypnotic ‘clean sheet’ sleep. If I EVER get wealthy and a personal valet they will have clean sheets every night.
Anyway, I expect to be up again early and at it again attacking the list all day. Much to do.
LIKE WHAT?
Like the things I didn’t finish up today for starters.
I need to finish the short abstract for the Wild Swine (WS) feasibility study. Poor Richard is going to run with it. He is connected with a member of the MEDC board (McK Economic Development Committee) however he needs to be managed, guided, directed and closely monitored so the project gets going and a life of its own. Not sure he can handle it but there is so much upside potential someone needs to be doing it full time besides me. He needs the work, I don’t, but I can direct his actions (I think) to a successful completion.
The institutional battle with the HOA is nearing a head. The crooks want 2020 dues of $800.
Organized crime and a crafted letter should get their attention.
There is woodworking to do, wood to cut and dust to breath. There are projects to paint and then travel later in the week for the funeral Saturday. Grace Jones and her drones, poisonous snakes, and fire ants will be patrolling the grounds keeping the cloud safe and secure until return.
That’s another thing accomplished this morning. Finding a ‘deal’ on airfare and travel for two (2) which is a real challenge. My admin used to take care of all those nasty details and I am truly glad that I don’t have to do this dreadful tasking much more often for it is very draining.
I guess that’s about all the energy I can muster tonight.
Post this up, make a correction to an older entry from the past which I greatly appreciate the faithful reader pointing out. This vehicle is light and intended to be a safe environment and I confess I slipped. NOT INTENTIONALLY however that doesn’t matter.
The manner in which the faux pas was reported and received was all good, healthy, honest and sincere and I can assure readership it will be corrected.
If you EVER see such a thing, do NOT HESITATE bringing it to management’s attention.
Signed,
Management.
