SIX J MMXX
Monday morning and the sun blazing and blinding into the upstairs solarium and Fans, it is grande. The numbers are 2° outside, 13° and 15° crib side and upper deck with 15° on the lower deck. Shaping up to be a nice day, full as alluded to last evening and …
SOUNDS LIKE PROCRASTINATION STATION PERHAPS …?
Maybe. As much as I don’t like admitting it, you may, MAY be right.
Can I tell one quick story about the overnight travel uninterrupted for time?
HOW CAN I INTERRUPT ? GO BIG FELLA. (insert smiley face)
As mentioned, I retired fairly early and started watching an old movie on the phone. The Suspect with Charles Laughton from 1945 and I recall seeing the 14 minute and the next thing I know the credits are rolling.
A couple of things I do remember are the striking resemblance and similarity between Laughton and John Candy. I must google or look each up on the Wikipedia to see if there is any kinship of simply a coincidental pair of acting buffoons.
So I shut down and quickly slipped back into the clean sheet and nightclothes state of nirvana.
Until about 3:18 when the horn went off.
It seems I neglected to shut down completely the smart phone and my good friends at American Express wanted to know about my experience with AmEx Travel by taking a short survey.
I deleted that message for spite and THEN powered down completely thinking no more @#%^&*() surveys.
Slipping back was quick and easy again but at 4:04 I was up and sharp so I looked at the titles of movies available and from 1939 Stanley and Livingston starring Spencer Tracy caught my eye.
It started well at held my attention and interest for what seemed like quite a time but I eventually fell victim again to sleep and marked this one also as must re-watch.
What I found interesting was the scenes in Africa the mosquito netting everywhere they could use it.
One of the lead characters was afflicted with ‘the fever’ which I suspect was in fact malaria. It makes all the sense just finishing the monster micro-history of that vicious predatory little insect.
So that’s it. Pretty typical of my record watching things even without commercials.
That’s probably going to do it for a spell.
Doing the DFW dash early tomorrow, again Wednesday and then Thursday for personal travel for a funeral.
See yesterday’s entry for a refresher. Not sure if I will lug this blasted machine all the way to Happy Valley as I suspect time will be tight. While there I am expecting to have some strategy meetings with my brother and S1. Already time is getting away.
