Su 3-29

A BRILLIANT Sunday morning breaking and the Journey continues as does the bunque aka lockdown, quarantine or shelter-in-place whatever YOU prefer to call it. I prefer to refer to it as solitary vacation, self-imposed and TOTALLY voluntary. The BEST part is totally enjoyment, peace and happiness.

This thing called ‘life’ as we generally speak is not a destination or about arriving or waiting for departure at the gate. Retirement is neither an achievemnt, goal or a destination.

No Fans it IS the journey. It’s ALL ABOUT the journey. You run into and up against barriers, obstacles, road blocks, restrictions, rules, speed bumps, idiots, imbeciles, laws, morons, regulations, even peer pressures and be socially ostracized.

Such things SHOULD be momentary distractions or diversions AND above all temporary.

It is HOW you approach and deal with all these dreadful and nasty challenges.

There are always two (2) paths to take if you think about it which I naturally and of course do.

Especially with a little more than normal ‘free time.’

Yes Fans, you can ALWAYS do one of two (2) things.

YOUR STARTING TO SOUND LIKE A PREACHER OGO.

Por favor cease interruptions bitte.

It IS Sunday and I only want you to pay attention because important messages follow and I am rolling.

Where was I?

O.

You can ALWAYS do one (1) of two (2) things. Are YOU ready for words of true Wisdom?

OK. You can do SOMETHING, ANYTHING really and for that you must search your soul and decide.

Number II is do nothing.

Whatever you do, you MUST be prepared or ready to both deal with consequences, outcomes AND learn from the event or experience.

That’s sufficient for today and must move along.

Sunday morning, colorful sunrise and the changes and adjustments continue to play out.

The Kona coffee has seen a rationing reduction for the short term. Both volume AND frequency.

Until further notice and sourcing can be stabilized, two (2) cups will be brewed only Sunday morning as a cause to celebrate.

Don’t OVER-stress as the last remaining package of 100% has a website and mailing address so contact WILL BE made this coming week and HANG the cost.

Just like the North Shore coconut-peanut butter, splurging on oneself occasionally is PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE. Make it up cutting the corner(s) on such things as toilet paper.

It was a X-Large week.

The LONG overdue concrete planter was completed yet still needs some fine surface finishing and cosmetic detail work before I arrive at my satisfaction point. I AM an artist !!

I learned so much and the next ones WILL be simply SMASHING and aesthetically fitting into the resort setting and sustainability concepts found in the charter of core values.

All dots in the Watching the Shores series are moving forward. Bike rides are getting more frequent as the weather improves. The lawn mower has been fired up and functioning well.

I found a super repair place and the trimmer is there next. The air compressor was picked up Saturday and all good. High quality work, excellent customer service and prices all in order.

Last week I successfully dried some blueberries into ‘blue raisins.’ Another successful IR&D project.

Currently in progress is drying (sliced) carrots NOT into crispy ‘chips’ but more chewy kind of like a ‘carrot jerky’. Then the NEXT step will be season them up with some kind of marinade or spice combination(s).

When doing such adventures, expect, be prepared or even lower expectations to anticipate POSSIBLE failure HOWEVER learn from and make ADJUSTMENTS to NOT REPEAT the failure.

Giving up is DOING NOTHING, LEARNING NOTHING and GETS ONE (YOU … NOT ME) NOWHERE.

The social distancing has shifted attention here towards technology for expanding entertainment and is becoming a great benefit and at times thrilling.

I received a couple of broadcast email messages thru Church contacts for ‘live streaming’ or ‘podcast’ of Mass which I find kind of revolting myself. It doesn’t work for me and that’s ALL I am saying.

So this morning I searched for Mass on the radio and actually found a daily Mass from a station in Saint Pete/Tampa and Fans, this is the Killer App.

Radio station Spirit FM 90.5 at 11:00 has a live broadcast of Mass daily and I am discovering the full schedule with Easter coming up this is a good thing as Martha I would say.

To me personally my preference is just listening without the gaze, visual lock and staring at a screen. It is the sound and the message and were one (I) in A church, the gaze would be bouncing around at the statues, stained glass, architecture, light, works of art and of course the others in attendance.

Questions?

Good.

I can now go downstarirs and I think shall sit outside, in the rising sun, listen to the birds and fall into a deep cup of the Kona coffee and escape for a few moments before beginning the new (day, week and upcoming month).

Probably the next contact will be NEXT month.

This is IT for March ... Marching OUT.

Looking for April showers.
