25/26 Friday

The rhythms of ‘normal’ are returning after a couple of days off due to jet lag and weather. This day breaks as pure perfection. Things as in plants are lush and green, cool from yesterdays rain and the lawn is begging for a mowing.

When we last left our Hero and all-around Good Guy he was leveling off, returning to a steady-state of the usual normal routines. But slowly.

Moving along to an update on the calendar including fixes, committee reports and progress. The official list of month abbreviations if finally completed. The seasons have been revamped but you will recognize them. Think about where you are or live most of the time and look at it as a shift in nomenclature. If you can.

Working out or workouts are caught up except the training rides. I should qualify 2020 v 2021 or the NEXT HH100.

Nothing says one has to quit anything, anytime unless one longs for being stupid.

In my case, which is all I can speak for, I like it, enjoy it and need the higher level of physical activity to balance out my life. Period.

ASSHOLE.

WOW! Like I haven’t heard THAT before.

American Express reduced the APY of the ‘Hi-yield’ savings account and I am here to tell you THIS TIME the camel's back is broken. I made the call yesterday morning and moved money in protest OUT of AmEx to TransAmerica account after speaking with financial planner. NOT all of it NOR closing the account only a sign or symbolic movement to protest the action and express extreme disappointment at the move.

UPDATE: Transferring a large amount of funds from American Express to another investment vehicle is super cool. And for most people this isn’t even a large chunk of money. To me it is and super cool. FROM MY PHONE !!

So the balance in the AmEx account will be smaller, I won’t lose any liquidity nor will the maneuver cause ripples out changes to existing finances.

However, always good to touch base with an expert just in case there is something I don’t know or have not considered.

OK. Six months from now it should be cold and opening the gifts s/b done and perhaps you will be sitting down to Christmas dinner or breakfast. IDK where you live so that will depend on that.

As you may have guessed, I have much to accomplish this day and the list is rather lengthy.

I accomplish nothing, NADA, tapping lightly and foreplaying with this machine but it along with everything else is working swimmingly.

I have breakfast and dinner all set so food is not a problem.

Plans always need to be made or fine-tuned.

Today’s image is treasure found on yesterday’s ride.

Catch the number 18 mm. Significant.

I MUST explore what that is, decinmal conversion (etc) and what the closest fractional equivalent is. This is the sort of thing Emma EXCELLS at and she is like to reply off-line BEFORE I get to it.

Now that the workouts are getting caught up and it hasn’t rained I am THINKING I MAY be able to get back to doing some art work.

I mean I am an ‘artist’.

Sometimes I am not even comfortable with that … label, title or vocation (???) as it simply just doesn’t fit. Sometimes like now.

OK. Weekend is here, celebrating starts later, food meals and preparations of course and some reading and telly.

DO YOU HAVE A FEW NANOSECONDS FOR AN UPDATE ON THOSE TWO TOPICS POR FAVOR ?

I started the most recent biography of Ulysses Grant. Not very far yet but this version is broken down into readable sections to make setting it down and picking it up again much more fluid. At over 650 pages, I expect to be at it for some time.

Here of late I have been binging on season one (1) of the Outer Limits. Only two (2) seasons of the sci-fi anthology circa 62-63 but outstanding. Episodes are actually scary, aliens and space monsters are a bit hokey by todays special effects standards, excellent writing and the stories riveting and exceptional acting. One of last nights episodes featured Sally Kellerman. I thought it was and the credits confirmed it. Talk about smoking hot.

Good spot to end.

This is on amazon prime/video. So glad I got that figured out and hooked up. NO COMMERCIALS and a vast library of older shows and new original movies and series.

Highly recommended and five (5) thumbs up.

Cheers one, cheers to All.
