Au 30
There was NO PLAN for a report this day however overnight a thunderstorm rolled thru the region and it’s still raining. The long, soakerand EVERYONE knows we need it.
Another event developed yesterday shortly after posting up that bears sharing.
As I made my way around the castle and grounds fumbling and stumbling with the early day Plan and activities, I noticed standing water on the south side of the drive way and the a single sprinkler head first, then a second then a third. The system was programed to cycle but this was far beyond the watering window. No bueno.
I called the irrigation specialist and they could stop by today but it would be in the afternoon so I shut off the water at the valve and went about The Plan.
Hastening to completion, I got a brief ride in, two laps with no time or computer to track speed or distance. Lots of activity with mostly walkers around the neighborhood loop.
It was all of 40° shortly after the ride and some painting so there was some very high quality time in the cement pond. Very late in the afternoon or early evening after the irrigation system was repaired the range session was a flaming disaster. Perhaps it was my outfit but the number of clunkers far outnumbered the solid hits. This was a huge disappointment and has to improve starting next month. Watch the Colonial outing be cancelled at the last minute especially if my game gets all tuned up.
I cut the end and had the first of watermelon V. A light supper was forgettable and we are caught up.
Today I should finish up a custom shelf to ship to a client in Houston first thing tomorrow morning.
Then make Plans for the rest of the week, month, year and life.
Manuel will be here Monday at 8:00 am for an estimate on some landscape work.
I received an email that the second shirt has been shipped ‘FedEx’ and could be here Monday. We shall see this time.
This day I am looking forward to the slower relaxed pace of a Sunday, a break from the oppressive heat for a short spell anyway while I work on projects and can truly look forward to finishing one.
See you in September.
