Another fabulous day here in Paradise however constricted by time. So nothing is really new, different or changed.
I got up early and started by completing the workout, training ride and an admin plan prior to sitting down and firing up this tool of a machine.
CAN WE GET JUST THE HIGHEST OF HIGHLIGHTS POR FAVOR?

As most of you know I have been on a ‘kick Cali to the curb OR under the bus campaign’ for some time. Well, it seems to be generating some momentum witness the following links or articles.
The ‘journalist’ or writer of this first article apparently graduated from an on-line or mail order school. When I was in school, teachers teed off when ‘children’ were referred to as ‘kids’. ‘Kids are baby goats …’
This story shows the pointlessness of Ca, maybe ‘students’ is better IDK/IDC and why ANYONE in their ‘right mind’ would fool with an alligator deserves to go to the bottom of the food chain and be a meal. In this case, how about a ‘kids meal?’ Morons. Rich parents probably shuffled them off to camp because they couldn’t deal or handle their offspirng.
I am beginning to seriously think thinning the gene pool or the herd might not be such a bad idea. Perhaps this behavior needs to be encouraged OR rewarded.
And this one … I hope the residents of the town step in a few cow paddies.
This one sounds sad from the headline but the details prove the point just made and confirms thinning the herd has some merit.
The training ride was a near-record success. I started earlier so as to get after more projets artistiques sooner and traffic was surprisingly lighter than anticipated. Of course it was cooler but the traffic pattern(s) was conducive to the fast time.
Now looking forward to an ‘off day’ tomorrow and the GDR of 97k on Saturday. Body weight is down to 175 and I tried on some of the ‘snug’ 34in waist trousers/shorts and was able to close them so more room for improvement and a ways to go still but headed in the right direction.
Overnight I had a flash of brilliance.
Since being juried into ARToberFEST in Galveston, a whole set of other activities building support infrastructure has been initiated.
Yesterday I located and contacted a small company in NW AR that makes stellar show tents. Started the process, first item was ‘lead time’ and I learned AOK with October plenty of time to work the details of layout and design of the new, improved and larger 10 x 20 space.
The ‘brilliance’ was incorporating ‘weights’ into the display panel configuration. I thought the ‘live-edge’ shelves in the center of each side would provide sufficient weight without separate weight scheme ‘systems’ to secure and stabilize the canopy safely during a wind event. I mean it solved not only the weight method but also a vehicle to display more 2 and 3-D sculptures on smaller shelves AND possibly take orders for live edge wood from Glen’s sawmill.
Very cool.
