Not how I wanted to open but let’s get it out dispatched early. He had some tubes removed yesterday and is becoming more responsive. He is opening his eyes, tracking and is reacting to stimuli more often and stronger. We are planning his move to an extended rehab facility KNOWING that it is going to be a lengthy process.
I appears to your obedient correspondent that the uncommon nonsense from 2021 will carry over.

I watched a nice movie last night as the temperature outside plummeted.
A Night in Old Mexico was just a nice movie. Good acting but released in 2013 and I never heard of it until now. A good story, some needless violence, a sprinkling of raw language I could have done without but over all a mild tear jerker. Happy ending but what I REALLY liked was the Grandpa drove off with the beautiful senorita so apparently there is ALWAYS hope.
I am TOTALLY fed up with the new technology ‘NEST’ thermometer. Advertisement and sales pitch are WONDERFUL however when it gets cold, throw your intuitive skills out the door for turning on the heating system that was checked out IN ADVANCE and THAT WORKS is nearly useless, NO … I cannot figure it out. Ran out of patience.
I went on line, dug up a password and got in to a ‘chat support’ and ‘Thea’ asked for my name for documentation purposes. I could not figure this out as I had logged in and I told them so and abruptly ended the session.

This is nothing compared to situation developing in the American Outback. Emma reports no gas service due to a leak and ruptured line and bitter cold. Pray for those less fortunate.
Yesterday as I made a last run for possible supplies I saw what looked like a couple moving out of an apartment with belongings in a metal shopping cart. Great timing to be experimenting with the great outdoors.
I am going to read today’s Mass after building a small fire and see if the thermostat rights itself. I will pray for you, Emma, Br12/Bd12 and the usual suspects as well as all the less fortunate which I fear and know are growing and growing quickly.
Kind of peculiar that no one is chanting ‘Four more years’ don’t you think?
