Friday 15th Julio

IF you need a reminder today is Friday you may want to have your vital signs checked. Like a pulse and bp for starters.

First, the recap highlights as proimised last time and how and what got us here.

On Wednesday, that would be the 13th, while on the training ride I did a good deed for the day helping a damsel in distress.

THIS HAS TO BE A GOOD SPIN ... I MEAN ‘STORY’. LET’S HEAR IT …

This is one day, one time Ms Bold Caps I am actually glad for our presence and inquiring mind small as it is.

So I am about half-way down the circuit leg on Glen Oaks between Ridge and Lake Forest.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE NOT SO MUCH GRANULARITY. WE AS IN ‘I’ HAVE THINGS TO DO.

I see a rider down on the sidewalk wrestling with a bike. As I approach, the bike is a 'rec' as in recreational and NOT a wreck to be clear but the rider, a she, I swear has it upside down when the dialog begins.

W: Are you ok?

UF: Yes. I think so.

W: Do you need help ?

UF: My chain slipped off when I hit a bump.

W: Easy enough.

I get off the street, kick-stand the black beauty ...

ABBREVIATE, FACILITATE AND TRUNCATE POR FAVOR ...

So I put the chain on explaining BRIEFLY the steps what I was doing and why so she could possibly make a better attempt should such a thing happen again and she wouldn’t have either my services or phone number handy and available.

UF: Thank you so much.

W: No problem. Take care of that leg.

Her leg had a rather large abrasion and fresh red blood midway up between the calf and shin.

Thursday’s highlight after the training ride while working in the back yard I stepped on a nail.

OMGOSH !! WHEN WAS YOUR LAST TETANUS SHOT?

Now that’s EXACTLY what FB the RN and my secondary health care custodian asked.

My smart alec side replied Saturday.

I emailed Dr Paine's office and he could see me at 4:30 and when I went in I explained it was a light wound, on my foot and in a location I couldn’t see it to assess. I wanted to have it looked at by a ‘friendly’ now in the daylight during standard business hours rather than have it start throbbing and such at 3-4 in the am.

He looked at it, asked some questions and phoned in some prescriptions for antibiotics and a topical ointment to apply.

All was well and I got into a pill-taking routine and schedule UNTIL the last night when I experienced explosive and massive quantities of a semi-solid, amorphous, rich brown fecal material between 12 and 2 am. NOT the kind of thing one wants to get up in the middle of the night to do. I assumed it a side effect of the meds as there are a shit-tonne (sorry) listed on the accompanying literature.

ENOUGH !!

Very well and no problemo. It was getting messy.

So the weekend is brighter. Hopefully no overnight or early am adventures.

Two days (and today) of uninterrupted activities pretty much the same. Some yard work, take the meds and PRAY for bowel stability, projet artistque. Planning financial and otherwise, some limited correspondences and whatever else may pop up.

When it gets exceedingly warm, take a dip. Have a nice beer, perhaps a second properly and responsibly spaced. No reason to leave the grounds or compound.

The current read has now become an inspiration AND POSSIBLE template for my next mega-project with writing and word structure. A good time to start organizing, sorting details and timeline(s).

Another tick taken off the list of thingys to do with this blog posting. There was a phobia developing that I would be mired in Procrastination station with neither trains or planes departing on schedule or otherwise.

I think another semi-demi cup of coffee for a walk about gardens, workshop and or studio gallery for some organizational direction might be appropriate and useful.

TIME OUT … (the trumpet of the William Tell overture rings out in the background …)

It’s … the Lone Ranger …

I’m DONE. Have a GREAT WEEKEND and stay SAFE.
