March second
A new day and the sun shines brilliantly chasing the overnight cold.
WOW! THAT’S PRETTY GOOD FOR AN OPENING … FOR YOU.
Listen, I always consider the source and under the circumstances, I shall graciously accept the compliment and move orward unencumbered.
DID YOU WATCH THE STATE OF THE ONION LAST NIGHT?
HAhahahahahah … hahahaha … hahaha … you ARE kidding?
I had far, FAR better things to do. Like the Tuesday night zoom meeting of my flossing support group.
No. I TuneIned and caught about 180 ‘LIVE’ seconds of the circus sh*tshow and it was all ‘covid-19’, the ‘audience’ applauded and when my tummy soon knotted, I turned back to Mystery theater.
It was like oatmeal thru an IV. Too difficult to swallow. They are using or making Putin as the new OR NEXT Saddam Hussien, Hitler or Bin Laden aka ‘villan.’
It’s simply a political diversion, the rich will get ENORMOUSLY richer and the poor people will bear the brunt of the suffering needlessly. It is a shame poor and innocent people will die but in your ‘FREE TIME’ try to take an objective look at what’s happening. Think and apply the Iceberg rule. The hapless only see 15% while the 85% that will rip out your innards and sink the ship are hidden out of sight invisible below the surface.
Today is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. The Lenten season is one of my favorite seasons of the liturgical year.
SO WHAT ARE YOU GIVING UP?
What is the fascination with this? Christian Non-Catholics are always asking this personal question and it is so nice when you reluctantly tell them and then they MOCK your decisions. Like one of those moments you are SO GLAD that you DO NOT own a gun.
The Plan is the same as last year. ALL alcohol SHELVED for 40 days. I give myself a chip for this.
I cut out ALL sweets including deserts and candy. Between meal snacks GONE. Two (2) meals per day, fasting Wednesday and Friday and fish or meatless on those two (2) days. It is a healthy routine and I usually stick to it and drop a few pounds in the process. It’s all good.
I’ll do the Stations of the Cross at Saint Guillero’s on the Hill Friday afternoons. I’ll continue to avoid the crowd, herd and masses and perform such obligations here, at home in the monestary room.
I guess that’s it. SOU, Lent and I thought I had more material but I was wrong. First time today.
I have plenty of work to do and some of it is even cut out for me. (sorry)
The first order of business is move Silver out of the garage, create a larger workspace and enjoy the rising and warmth of the sun.
It’s going to be a good day for vitamin D exposure and who knows what else may unfold.
You’ll want to check back, pay your dues OR subscribe if you are so inclined.
This mess will only get better.
