Visits and views have set records and a ‘normalcy’ has settled in. I say this carefully and cautiously for a fear of jinxing myself. Don’t laugh, it HAPPENS.
Yesterday was my best friend Bob’s birthday. I sent him a text and we exchanged a couple of brief messages. He is still a diehard Giants fan and like the Red Sox, both clubs have had very down and disappointing years. But all good and just wait until next year.
The dodgers and giants played an early game today and it was the first one on the schedule for the day. It started close but the dodgers simply had too much talent and overwhelmed the giants. I then switch to the second early game Colorado v the brewers. This one got out of hand early for the rockies and I switched back to SF v LA. Mike Yaz ignited a rally but too little for the giants.
What I found amusing and interesting in both games were a couple of commercials.
COMMERCIALS? WERE YOU DEHYDRATED OR OVERSERVED?
Not at all.
I tried the brewer feed which of course is from Milwaukee and for those geographically challenged is in Wisconsin.
IS THIS GOING ANYWHERE LIKE TODAY OR SOONER?
Between innings there was an ad for employment from the Wisconsin state Department of Corrections. Positions starting at $23/hour and for an extra $2/hour to work in ‘maximum’ security. I’m still not interested.
And there is a $3000 sign-on bonus.
SO IS SOMEONE WE KNOW MOVING TO WI ?
Short answer, no.

The award-winning commercial from the other game was on the SanFran homey feed and again between innings. It was something about being ‘proud of the progress’ fighting the ‘epidemic of HIV’ in the area, region or city. I was appalled then disgusted before finally realizing where the broadcast was originating and the demi-gee of the audience most definitely NOT in Texas.
Here’s another hunter b sighting in the news. I mean does this guy have talent or what? First he sets the art world on fuego, then writes a best-selling memoir that the masses buy to live vicariously, cutting global deals with the chinese communists and now a film star. I mean he has his dad’s teeth. Or the same dentist. Note that he has the big guys smile. Does it remind ANYONE else of the cat from Cheshire?
I am wondering what he has to say about the laptop as in a narrative and answering some real hard-ball questions from reporters like Jim Acosta of CNN.

I have located the missing bike part and we should be back in the saddle hopefully by Friday or the weekend at least. I gave the box of spare parts to S2 and FB has shipped a pair of toe cages just in case from Houston.
I had a great deal of energy as the day began and got some painting done. I went over to Donnie’s and drilled some holes with his magnificent drill press and made a longitudinal cut of a full-body Lutjanus campechanus so now I can carve out and paint TWO half-bodies.
More revenues from two half-bodies versus the one (1) smaller full body.
It is afterall a BUSINESS and I am raised up and happy with myself when I start thinking in this way and get these kind of stellar ideas.
