A perfect Sunday afternoon and the cup of ‘free time’ runneth over. In a sense. It has been a bit since a meaningful message after the misfire on Friday for the Hi-oh to the weekend celebration.
Sometimes fecal material moves, sometimes it just sits and bees.
A lot to catch up on so ready, aim ... fire.
I fired up the spa and it is GLORIOUS. The sun shines warmly, the water I think could cook shrimp and it feels great.
Earlier I took that walk down to the local tanks (ponds or small lakes) in Texas speak and made some observations. I saw a couple of large turtles sunning themselved very similar to what I am doing here right now. One can not get enough vitamin D. It MUST be fresh as I am thinking it cannot be stored, made into a pill OR a VACCINE for convenience.
Species seen were American baldpates aka widgeons. A little larger duck distinguishing features an emerald green band (mask) around the eye and a beige head with darker brown speckles. The green is almost reflective as is the head feathers of the mallard drake.
There were a number of mallards and I was excited ready to report a rare male mutation with an all black head. I was watching it closely and then suddenly it turned its head and when the light struck it just right, the familiar green color returned. This was a relief as I was not looking forward to the paperwork and reports for such a sighting.
There were a few spoonies or Northern shovelers. They go butts up as they feed underwater and seem to get stuck in that position.
A small pod of ringed necks was over on an edge minding their own business.
On the walk home in the neighborhood approaching the castle I spotted todays image.
It was the first tree I have seen here that was fully changed and this maple was close to spectacular. I just had to take a picture.
Late Friday I posted a comment on a substack article and the thread got a record number of replies and comments. That was cool. Last time I looked I was over 30 and I’m thinking this is ‘viral’.
And how about poor Aaron Rodgers? It seems his ‘freedoms’ have been either eroded or stolen outright. Free speech? What’s that?
APPARENTLY he was doing some interview and the topic of vaccinations came up and he gave the WRONG answer.
The media seems to LOVE to pummel Rogers. I mean has anyone asked Tom Brady if he got his? IDK because I am not keeping score at home however I have been following the athletes that WERE vaccinated AND getting ‘mysteriously’ ill, sick and some even suddenly dying after getting this EXPERIMENTAL jab..
I might bet that Rogers is shattered by the revenue loss here. BFD. He dumped Danika Patrick. I don’t think he is overly concerned, losing sleep or even worried.
A follow-up from SNL. I never cared for the humor on SNL and this kind of cements it. I went out with this lady who when paired with one of her ‘BFF’s’, the dialog was right out of this silly/stupid show. Loud, noisy and so NOT funny. I think obnoxious REALLY fits here.
Maybe Rogers is smart and prefers NOT to die. When I spoke to my doctor he said I would very likely fight the infection off quickly and may not even show symptoms.
I made a HUGE mistake undertaking a domestic project that has turned wicked ugly. I decided to clean the pantry, put down rubberized shelve covering and just throw a lot of junk away. Do some rearranging maybe paint the walls. I seem to hit a wall of 80-D-D and cannot maintain or sustain the effort. And it S*CKS. I mean there is crap everywhere.
Like today the weather was so nice I went to Oak Hollow t hit some balls and get some range time in. Well, I get there and the range closed. It seems the ‘picker’ that retrieves the range balls is down so all balls are just laying out there on the range. So I offered to go shag some for the going rate and the guy laughed and now get this … gave me a pass for a free round of golf. FREE GOLF !!
This is going to fit so well in my training program for the Colonial I am approaching giddy.
That someone special has smiled upon me once again.
The postal person delivered the next read from Half Price Books. I thought I would halt the Civil War book because I have been mired in that conflict for a while and am in need of some variety.
