I am trying to figure out once again the source of the ELATION, EUPHORIA and ENERGY this morning.

Perhaps it is knowing that it is over. Shortly or soon all the gifts will be unwrapped and open EVERYWHERE on the planet. But let’s face it and be real. In SOME places it HAS started, IS over and life WILL slowly return to ‘NORMAL’.

Perhaps knowing the decorations are coming down is the source of joy.

He said YOU could sort that out and por favor no more interruptions as I am rolling and Christmas is only a brief timeout in the game of life. Activity(ies) and demands of one’s time simply do not stop for long.

Emma checked in with a Christmas update from the American outback aka Lubbock. She’s busy doing preps for company. Not a shocking revelation certainly.

Christmas eve meal was the traditional eastern European or Catholic meatless except fish, heavy on vegetables as in a latke, mushroom soup of the homemade variety, a nice white wine and the Thanksgiving cole slaw of Pep’s recipe.

Anyway, no. One reason cabbage is a super food and has survived is it’s shelf life. Think sauerkraut. Pep’s version has only basic natural ingredients and kept refrigerated has ALWAYS lasted until fully and finally consumed. It simply seems to get better with age.

I must cut and run here now.

In addition to the ‘normal’ activities and such going on, S1 was in a horrible accident on Monday and I must get to the hospital for a visit. This report is a short time out. He is in an induced coma with multiple injuries far too numerous to mention as I would leave something out. He is alive, the prognosis is all still TBD. A broken neck, fractured skull and brain bleeds make it all unknown and they talk about IF he opens his eyes like it will be a huge event.

Comfort is knowing it is ALL in God’s Hands and His Master Plan is perfect and flawless.

No cards or letter this year but everyone is hoping to be in a better place and things will improve for the Holidays.

Be Thankful and Gracious. Carry on the Christmas spirit for a little bit longer but just ignore the trappings.
